JOY-Filled Wedding at Long Acre Barn in Cumbria

Molly and Ryan's wedding at Long Acre Barn in Cumbria was full of personality, personal touches and most importantly, full of joy! The day began at Long Acre Barn's beautiful house, where Molly got ready with her family and bridal party. The atmosphere was relaxed, filled with laughter, excitement, and for some reason, some lemon-sucking (IDK Either! but it made me Laugh). Molly's younger brother rocked up wearing tartan trousers made from their late father's tartan, adding a deeply personal element to their first look! Later at the church, he walked Molly down the aisle in them, creating a super poignant moment that beautifully honoured their father.

The couple exchanged their vows at the historic St. Lawrence Church in Penrith, a picturesque setting for such an important occasion. After the ceremony, some local tradition came into play when the villagers tied the churchyard gates shut—a fun and playful Cumbrian custom only escapable by throwing out money (coins). Thankfully, they managed to "escape" and returned to Long Acre Barn to continue celebrating!

Upon arriving back at Long Acre Barn, guests were greeted with some gorgeous views of the Cumbrian countryside, where they enjoyed a relaxed drinks reception outside with all the sheep and maybe a cow or two watching on!

Everyone moved inside the barn for dinner and dancing as the evening unfolded. The space had been lovingly decorated by Molly's mum, who brought her creativity to life through the handmade table centrepieces and other personal touches. Her eye for detail made the barn feel warm and personal.

Molly and Ryan's wedding at Long Acre Barn was a wonderful blend of tradition, personal tributes, and just out-and-out fun. From the tartan tribute to Molly's father to the village traditions and the split trousers on the dance floor, the day was filled with memorable moments that will stay with the couple and their guests forever.

Enjoy,
